We began as a group with a dream to assist families in need, and found that the greatest need in our county is foster care. Throughout the state hundreds of kids are forced to cross county lines to get help, while some of the greatest need is in York County.
The majority of families who foster only do it one time, because of the difficulties of fostering without support. We support churches and families within them to create Care Communities around foster children. Care Communities are networks of individuals within churches that provide a variety of services to make fostering easier, such as occasional child care, meals, tutoring, counseling and prayer. Care Communities are built around not only the child, but the whole family, changing fostering outcomes for everyone in the system.
